The Kerbal Association of Aeronautic and Space Technology is an emulation of a real world space agency's approach to aerospace technology development. You can look at our mission log here or in my signature. This will more or less be a thread showing off KAAST's creations. And because the mission log shows off more space design, this thread will be focusing on the aeronautic side of the Association. All of the crafts you see have been through numerous tests, and are all declared able to take-off, sustain flight, and land safely.

Crafts:

A stable and efficient jet that can fly for a fairly long time. Like most crafts, it will tumble on the ground at high speeds; however with proper control, you shouldn't have much of an issue.

A variant of Pegasus A. This is the easier-to-fly model that uses different surface controls in better places. This however lowers maneuverability.. This craft features an abort sequence, press backspace and once clear of the vehicle, press the space bar.

Saber is a very easy vehicle to fly, due to the fact that it has been rigorously tested and has been made very stable. It does not include an ASAS module, like its VTOL counterpart, however KAAST did not feel like it needed one. This craft features an abort sequence, press backspace and once clear of the vehicle, press the space bar.

A VTOL counterpart of the Saber. This craft features an abort sequence, press backspace and once clear of the vehicle, press the space bar. You will want to active the RCS and ASAS system. It is possible to take off without these two things, however I wouldn't try it.

Toggle the VTOL engine by pressing "2" (two). Once you've lifted off, press "1" (one) to activate the main engine. Leave the VTOL engine on for a few seconds as the main engine turns on. After you have sufficient lift, you can shut down the VTOL engine and disable RCS (and ASAS, if you want). Durring take off, do not leave the VTOL engine on too long with ASAS simultaneously activated; shaking will occur.

It is also possible to land on the VTOL engine. Slow down by activating your VTOL engine and deactivating the main. Slightly pull up (if you don't have a joystick, use trim with precision controls) and cancel your horizontal motion. You will rise up a little, but keep one hand on the throttle throughout the process.

This thread will be updated when more crafts are added. I will try to keep uploaded crafts on the latest version, to the best of my ability.
