Civ V

Soooo I saw it for $30 at a store. It looks interesting. To the point, should I get it?

Also, the Gold is $50. A little bit much, is it worth it?

I am a fan of previous Civ games, but I am a bit on the fence when it comes to Civ 5.

I got it during a sale on Steam, but never really had a chance to play it beyond trying out the demo before hand.

Speaking of the demo, Steam is the only place I can think of that has the Civ 5 demo.

You are talking about a boxed version, do you ?

If you don't bother buying the digital version, you should better wait for the Summer sales (already started on some online stores).

I got the gold edition for less than 15€ last year.

Also a new addon is coming next week "Brave new World".

So I am pretty sure CIV5 gold deals will appear everywhere. (Steam, Amazon, GMG, ...)

Anyways this game is absolutely awesome and a real time/sleep killer

Do not buy it yet. Wait for it until it goes on sale for $5 on Steam. And like Athlonic said, a new expansion is coming next week which will trigger sales for the bundle. And yes, it is very fun. It takes a while to get into though, because it has a lot of elements you need to learn.

I like rts games.. I hated Civ though. I cannot stand the turn based octangular grid setup. The scales make you feel like your playing a board game. Played it for a few hours trying to get hooked. I could not...
