Background

With the largest nations of Kerbin having their own space programs, a private owner stepped forth and founded his own. Fascinated by the stars and cosmos since he was a young child, he was finally living his dreams. He hired the best engineers and scientists he could find, and the young genius and millionaire stepped forth and into space, together, they named the program "Entity Space Exploration."He abandoned his chains of convenience stores to his heir, which had gained him his initial wealth, and started anew in the stars.

The next stage is a LV-T45 Liquid Fuel Engine. This smaller engine will carry the rocket the rest of the way into space.

vsc0ud.jpg

The soothing music of space begins to play, and the KWRockery fairing of the Hawk Mk I releases the probe. It soars to an apoapsis of 96km and then plummets back to Kerbin.

The music kicks in, and the capsule flies into space. Jebediah takes a quick EVA, and then climbs back into his capsule.

dzifd3.jpg

The capsule. It has 2 parachutes, some batteries, and 4 landing legs. The landing legs are for re entry, so that if they come in for a rough landing the force will be applied to them instead of the command pod.

voo9ef.jpg

Our apoapsis reached 87 km.

Reentering the atmosphere.

2rgcsuo.jpg

The parachutes deploy, and the landing legs are extended

Mission 5

Objective: Place an Iris communication satellite in orbit around Kerbin. It will be used to relay communications for all mission which stray from Kerbin.

Rocket: Hawk Mk III

Rocket Specs:

Stages: 5

Payload: Iris Communication Satellite

First stage engines: 8 Globe VI SRBs and 1 Globe X SRB.

Our first night launch! Lift off!

9fwfa9.jpg

Second stage initiated and burning to orbit.

2eeewlz.jpg

200 km orbit around Kerbin achieved!

1zx14dy.jpg

Iris Satellite has been released from the fairing and is now sailing through space. This satellite is obviously designed to look like the famous Sputnik, and is powered by an RTG.

Rocket:

Griffin Mk I

Rocket Specs:

Stages: 7

Payload: Iris Satellite

First stage engines: 1 KW Rocketry Griffon XX and 2 Rockomax Mainsails.

Lift off! This massive rocket has a very slow lift off speed, making it seem like a very realistic rocket launch!

ml19xf.jpg

Liquid fuel boosters are dropped and the core engine rockets off into the sky!

Land an unmanned scientific probe on the Mun, and relay its findings back through the 2 Iris satellites.

Rocket:

Griffin Mk I

Rocket Specs:

Stages: 7

Payload: Unmanned Munar probe lander

First stage engines: 1 KW Rocketry Griffon XX and 2 Rockomax Mainsails.

Descending.

2zpjjua.jpg

Larger engine ran out of fuel, so the fairings opened and the landing probe itself has begun descending. Almost to the surface.

szzhtw.jpg

Touch down! We have successfully landed an object on an orbital body other then Kerbin! We didnt have to use the emergency solid boosters either!

qq8v2q.jpg

The probe has begun taking scientific readings and measurements related to the living conditions of the Mun and is now relaying them back to Kerbin via the Iris satellites.

Mission 8

Objective:

Land a manned lander carrying Adam Kerman and Danly Kerman on the Mun and return to Kerbin.

Rocket:

Timberwolf 1

Rocket Specs:

Stages: 9

Payload: Danly Kerman and Adam Kerman

First stage engines: 3 KW Rocketry Griffon XXs

The Timberwolf 1. The pinnacle of Kerbin engineering. This massive behemoth has the capability to travel interplanetary and return, It's nuclear engines provide such efficiency that it should be able to return from the Mun with still 3 quarters of its fuel left. It is truly the flagship of E.S.X.

fvwa48.jpg

The 3 massive Griffon engines roar and the Timberwolf slowly ascends into the sky!

f4e9fp.jpg

The 2 liquid fuel boosters decouple and the main engine kicks in.

29mss9j.jpg

As we preform an insertion burn to orbit the Mun is visible just over the horizon.

2v2tfv4.jpg

Burning to orbit.

2ik9rwn.jpg

The huge engine drops off and the smaller stage picks up where the last dropped off.

2s7ezck.jpg

Orbit achieved!

wgz4eq.jpg

Burning to the Mun!

5nqdf4.jpg

As we float above the Mun, the fairing opens, revealing the massive all purpose lander.

2ui9fs3.jpg

200km orbit achieved!

4k8jmw.jpg

The mapsat satellite hooked to the nose of the lander is now activated and decoupled. It will map out the Mun and assist the lander in choosing a good landing site.

vn3345.jpg

Having chose the landing site, and the satellite safely in orbit, the 2 nuclear engines burn retrograde.

c12qp.jpg

Descending.

2ivz3tx.jpg

We have touch down!!!

30ccbid.jpg

Adam Kerman: One small step for a kerbal.. *breathes* One giant leap, for kerbal kind.

2vnf140.jpg

Planting a flag for Mother Kerbin.

2wqhizc.jpg

The rover is decoupled from the bottom of the lander, and rolls out of the garage like shelter.

2rr8fbd.jpg

Adam takes it out for a drive.

2wdts0z.jpg

The rover uses RCS to either boost or break in low gravity enviroments, such as the gravity on the Mun.

jaktgi.jpg

Danly Kerman comes out and hops in the back seat.

b64ill.jpg

The RCS is also helpful for situations like this.

2cs870x.jpg

After flipping the Rover back up, and collecting some rock samples, the Cosmonauts pile back into the lander and prepare for lift off.

1huzrm.jpg

Good bye Rover!

30nkc3d.jpg

What the ****! The engines just blew up!

Adam: KSC We have a problem there was an explosion out the window! We've lost all thrust and control of the rocket!

Danly: The engines are blown! We're falling back to the Mun!

2u9h2ps.jpg

Adam: We got a fire in the cockpit and we cant stop our descent! Get us outta here!

Danly: We're coming in fast! AHHHHHH- *Muffled screaming and static*

2q1vwqu.jpg

Mission Outcome:

Catastrophic Failure

Great thread! I hope the campaign missions will be somewhat similar to these (but with all the part costs and other things). Looking forward to reading some more of your mission reports.

Sorry about not updating this in a while, Ive got a ton of missions documented but it takes ages to upload all the pics with tinypic.com :(
