Xenxe
This was basically a test to see if I could add parts to this game I discovered today. This is a simple little booster I'm not too great at modelling but i made it in blender and the texture in GIMP.NitroXen is a fictional company I made up a long time ago while playing gmod with friends. I kind of put this name on everything. I plan on making more parts with this blue line gray theme. Tell me if you like it!Anyway Enjoy its similar to the solid booster but different. I find it is easy to get off the ground with it.Screenshots:http://i.imgur.com/fYNs3.jpgwarning large imageDownload:http://www./?1rvzgbggtqkfawz
Barbarossa
In what way is it different? More fuel, more thrust? Less?
Jack
I like the tapered model, a nice and unique idea!I also recommend smoothshading your model, it just makes it look a little bit nicer.

DucksofGrass
I like the tapered model, a nice and unique idea!I also recommend smoothshading your model, it just makes it look a little bit nicer.Hello, I am a friend of Xen's, and we've been working together on getting models in game. I have a similar problem to his, in that the model seems to lost all smoothing group data. I work with 3DS max, so I'm not sure if the exporter supports this.He uses Blender (which I do NOT like, by the way), so I was wondering if you could tell us exatly what you mean? We're a bit new to this, so be kind please
Jack
To smoothshade, atleast in my program, you select all the vertices on the model, and hit 'Weld Together.'I'm not quite sure how to do this in Blender but this might help. Keep up the good work on these models!
DucksofGrass
Now see, that looks like what I would accomplish by setting smoothing groups in 3DS Max, but they don't seem to be preserved when exporting.Edit: out of curiosity, what program are you using? I had more success with the Collada format than .obj, so maybe you could try that if you're not already using it.
DucksofGrass
Out of curiosity, which version of Max? Because whenever I export with Collada, the smoothing groups are _never_ preserved.

Wavenarra
Using blender hit 'Set smooth' and then export via collada .daeI also use Blender, and it seems to preserve smoothing data.
