Mun Landing On Tallest Peak

Recommended Posts

There\'s a mountain range just west of where Damonjay landed that has a couple of 700+ m peaks.

716m it is.

However, I must wonder about this malarky with wheels... Are you landing on these peaks or driving up? Part of this challenge was the fact that it is fairly hard to do a pinpoint rocket powered landing. If you land and then drive around on wheels, that\'s kinda... umm... 'clever use of game mechanics'.

Malarky? :P

Its my Munar Rover.

By the looks of it the rules of the challenge are

'Land on the Mun, touching down at as high altitude as possible. Landing must be soft and capable of takeoff back to Kerbin.'

through out my Travels on the Mun i leave the ground at many points and touchdown every so often. seeing as it seems ok to Relocate after landing once then i\'m not breaking any rules :P besides if you wanted it to be a straight descent, i could easily do that just by Shooting myself up in the air with the RCS and then slowing going back down :P

although there needs to be a few things fixed on the moon before i see moon rovers becoming mainstream :P
