How to Save a Flight in progress

Hello I am new here and I was just wondering if it was even possible to save during a flight so that u have a backup in case the mission fails, so that u dont have to start it all over again...

Use F5 to quick save. Be aware, you can't save while throttled up. Hold the F9 key down to load the quick save.

Define 'in progress'

If you mean while trying to get into orbit: No.

Restart flight if you crash.

If you mean while in orbit: Quick save and quickload if you screw up. This ofcourse saves/loads the entire game, not just the craft
