What else can be done in this game

is all this in the Stock Game? or do i need mods?

i really dont want to get mods yet until i learn the core game.

So you were saying ladders... if i put ladders on it.. take it to the launch pad.. how do i put more kerbals on it?

It's all in the stock game. If you go into the utilities tab, you'll find all the goodies that make stations run. Like the iconic foldout solar panels. And you'll also find the Hitchhiker pods in there too, as well as batteries, and lights and ladders.

To add more Kerbals to the rocket, you'd have to leave the rocket (don't end flight), go to the spaceplane hangar, then build something there (like a bus) to truck Kerbals over to the launchpad.

One way to do it in stock, is to put a three man pod on the runway, using the Space Plane Hanger, then walk them over, and hope your ladders are working.

Well good luck with that! I've only managed to get a small 1 kerbal rover attached to my landing capsule on the Mun. Then again I've never tried a whole bus!

Tip: Put it on top of the rocket.

You can make stuff, in the SPH, then move it to the VAB in the game's files, and you shouldn't even need to close the game.

Opening up the craft file, you can change where it says SPH to VAB, for better results.

I recommend either side thrusters, or skycrane to land bus like objects.

Oh well, this Question isn't too bad.

Because it is a sandbox game and you are not guided by a storyline or such, you can easily become bored.

Anyways, there are pretty damn good Videos on Youtube how to build Spacestations or Bases on Laythe or Duna.
