Hey guys,

My named Eddy and I\'m a space fanatic. I used to go deep into the realm of the orbiter simulator if everyone has ever played that, but since I had stopped I had forgotten most things about it and now I\'ve turned to KSP for a little fun in space. I\'ve already downloaded some cool mods and I\'m hoping to take on some of the challenges that are on this forum.

If anyone has any tips they\'d like to give me I\'d appreciate it greatly :)

Cheers to all,

Eddy

Welcome!

Tip: The atmosphere cuts off at 70,000 meters. All orbits outside of that will never degrade.

Tip 2: Aerobraking works best if your perikee is around 55,000 meters.

The unofficial Rule #0 of Rocket Design is 'You always need more boosters'. The short form is 'MOAR BOOSTERS'.

What else...

Balanced mod parts are fun, OP parts are funny. You should be able to tell the difference immediately.

Welcome to the community, Try orbiting the Mun at under 2000m for a starting challenge

Challenge accepted.

Now onto making a ship that doesn\'t wobble while leaving kerth, stays straight while flying up, and isn\'t too heavy.

And thanks everyone else for the replies.

Excuse me dearly for the double post here, but after more than 12 prototypes, I was able to orbit mun at a steady periapsis of 5158 m.

I almost made a safe landing with the lunar lander i had designed but in a sporadic attempt I did not.

A crash landing sufficed for me though as all three pilots survived.
