That's two star trek comics in a row! are you becoming obsessed with Star Trek over KSP like I did in inverse?

He must be purged from this star trek and returned to the one holy kerbal way.

Yeah, one warp core (which is where the matter-antimatter reaction happens) then two warp nacelles which do the spacetime bending.

Anyhow yes - if the warp core goes poof, it's probably safe to say that both nacelles do as well :) Along with most everything else in the vicinity.

Ah, a good excuse why they aren't aligned with the COM. One less sci-fi design that's ruined by playing KSP.

Actually, the reason the COM/COT is not off is because the warp nacelles don't generate thrust, they warp space. The impulse engines which do in fact create thrust, are on the COM.
