UK team designs human mission to Mars

An UK team is design a mission to mars. They plan to use a tethered system between the cruiser and the lander to generate artificial gravity. A habitat/return vehicle and a rover would be sent previously, with mining capabilities for refuel(kethane!).

Interesting...It will be nice to see this concept actually tested in space, and then gain control of the ship after rotation is started.

They still don't have a solution to the radiation. So far all they have is pointing the heat shield at the radiation; the problem with this is that nasa has shown that the radiation can still strike the sides and effect the astronauts.
