Why isn't the new .21.1 patch on steam?

Recommended Posts

It updated fine for me, If all else fails, you can always uninstall it through steam and do the reinstall. Don't forget you will have to update some mods, like Mechjeb, if you use them. If you use them, some of the ship you built previously will not work. One ship I had froze the game completely when I tried to load. I eventually had to delete it and recreate it.

Steam will automatically update the game on its own. Your client should read version 0.21.1.276 , if it does not, right click the game in the list, go to properties, click on the update tab, and make sure it says 'Always keep this game up to date', if it does not, click the drop box , and select that option. If it does say this, set it to the opposite, launch the game, exit the game, then go back to the properties and set it to keep the game up to date. This should fix it, if not, restart steam.

Is there a reason my steam version of ksp hasn't got the patch? Or have the devs not got round to uploading the update?

I thought the same thing but when I booted the game up it was already updated. Try starting it and check the version in te lower right.

Troubleshooting 101 -- Is it plugged in? Is it turned on? I've lost count of how many times forgetting one or both of those questions has lead to tech support headaches (since I'm the tech).

I had the worst time of trying to figure this out. My game was not updating on steam as well, i did everything i could think of, verify the local files, delete local content, restart steam ect ect ect and nothing worked, However what ended up being my problem was if you right click on kerbal and go to properties there will be a tab that say BETAS, it MUST be set to "NONE- opt out of all betas" once i did that and applied it kerbal updated on the spot. So if all else fails check that setting.
