No End Flight?

Recommended Posts

So I just hopped in to KSP for the new update, and I couldn't help but notice a lack of the End Flight button.

The only way I can think of ending a flight is by hitting Abort, which I have never tried and don't ever plan to, and going into the Tracking Station and aborting from there.

I just don't want to kill a Kerbal, so any answers would be great.:P

You can end the flight by either reverting back to VAB/SPH (acts like the mission never happened) or by going into the Tracking Station and either terminating the mission (destroys it, Kerbals die) or recovering it (only works when landed on Kerbin).

Also the Abort button is only for the "Abort" action group, not for ending the mission.

Altern said it all, but I think the Permadeath is quite overrated. The heroes will come back if they die (Jeb, Bill & Bob) and the other ones... well... It's not KSP if everyone stays alive, isn't it? :)

Still, I would find it quite sad if I lost Kurt Kerman in my save game.

Yep. It completely undoes the mission/launch as if it never happened.

That's sort of bad. I spent at least an hour practicing simple airplane flight and no time elapsed at all if I choose the most convenient option? Actually getting time to elapse in KSP is such a chore.
