Is anyone else having these problems?

I have a normal moon lander with a normal launcher, I launched it, and before it got out of Kerbin's atmosphere the orbit on the map said I was going to escape Kerbin. I managed to do something and lower it enough so I could get a normal orbit around the moon, but the thing is, all of this was on my first stage. Normally, I would've been using my nuclear engines by now. I ignored it, and eventually was about to land on the moon before I had a chance to use my middle stage. So, I decoupled everything and started the landing process. When I was about to land, my moon lander went through the ground. I thrusted up and it went through the ground again, I tried to land again but the same thing happened. Eventually, I just gave up and let my moon lander drift through the mun's ground and then explode.

I have no mods installed, either. Are you guys experiencing this as well?

This sounds like something's badly broken indeed. The prime candidate is a corrupted game install, and the first step would be to completely delete the game and reinstall from scratch (and rebuild your craft by hand rather than copy over the .craft file.) If the problem's still happening after that, someone needs to contact an exorcist.

By the sounds of it you've got Hack Gravity turned on (Alt-F12, "Unhack Gravity" to stop that). At least, that goes a way to explain the escape from Kerbin's SoI before leaving the atmosphere. A craft designed for the Mun isn't usually capable of 3km/s in atmosphere unless it's ridiculously over-engineered.

As for the Mun landing, I have no idea. Providing coordinates has been suggested, but I don't think you can read off coordinates in a stock game without landing first (and landing is the probem). EDIT: Okay, but only in persistance.sfs and that's not in the format you get ingame. Mechjeb can work with that format though (I think).

Actually, pressing alt+f12 and clicking "Show flight debug stats" gives you your ingame coordinates.

As others have said, make sure hack gravity is disabled, and tell us the coords of the attempted landing so we can do likewise and determine if it's a terrain mesh issue or that your save is corrupted.

Assuming hack gravity is disabled and you're still getting ridiculous exit trajectories, a fresh install would be best. If that goes away, and we find out it's a terrain mesh issue, then you should be fine. If we can't replicate your results, again, a fresh install should be gotten.
