Kerbal Resumes

Ever since .21 came out, I have been feeling like the Kerbal equivalent of a human resources guy, looking at the stupidity/courage levels, and trying to pick out the least stupid and most courageous of them (even though I am fully aware that it means nothing as of right now except for expressions). So, how about we expand on this process of hiring Kerbals, by having randomly generated resumes for each Kerbal?

The resume template would look something like this:

Name: <Kerbal's name>

Occupational goal: <This would be one of a few things that go from scientific endeavors to blowing stuff up>

Education: <Either none, high school, or one of a few Kerbal-esque colleges>

Skills: <There would be 0-5 skills ranging from scientific skills to piloting craft to just blowing things up, if the Kerbal has the badass flag, one of their skills would be "Being a total badass">

Interests: <There would be 0-5 interests ranging from scientific interests, to flying in space/being is space, to board games and watching large explosions>

Seeing as we will be getting classes for the Kerbals, I would also like to suggest the idea that the Kerbal would have a certain class if their resume contains:

-Two or more science related skills/interests: Scientist

-Seven or more skills and interests: Commander

-Two or fewer skills and interests: Civilian

-Two or more skills/interests related to flying/repairing craft: Engineer

I've seen a few people state it. None were devs, but no devs have seemed to debunk the rumors either, so who knows.

Didn't feel like making a new thread for this and I think it fits with the idea expressed here.

More than a resume at the very beginning, how about we get access to a sort of mission log where the accomplishments of a specific Kerbal would be listed? Which flights, when, how long, which bodies he orbited, landed on, the EVAs, etc. You get the picture.

This way, they could progress from junior kerbonauts to veterans.

Rather than a resume with specific fields, I would prefer if each Kerbal candidate had a generic "biography" section that could be edited by players themselves - after all, every user has their own ideas and backstories for their own Kerbals.

Individual achievements would definitely go in another field, though.

It would be hard to generate interesting things procedurally, but crowd-sourcing Kerbal backstories like with the science log project would be a great way to do this. Then people can create their own backstories and share them, while not being able to alter the identity of each individual Kerbal. This is a good opportunity to give more depth to the Kerbals with historical names, too.

This is just plain fun. I would love to see personnel files for our Kerbs. Resume, mission log, achievements, statistics, etc. There's a lot of potential here for adding flavor to the game, as well as a groundwork for accessing any RPG elements that may be added in the future.
