Mr Tegu
I made it to Ike legtitmently. However I cant make it to eeloo and moho is giving me problems. The answer: More droptanks!Seriously, you may need to add more struts and possibly more engines too but if you have the tanks feeding into the main engines you can use fuel to get the extra mass orbital and refuel before you do the transfer. You could also try dockable droptanks if need be.
zekes
@Mr Tegu: nice shots there! Ill see when i can fire back but i've got lots of schoolwork.@War Eagle1: same thing, I can't work on your ship. mabye later this weekend.
War Eagle 1
The dock-able droptanks may be an option. But right now Id like to get my final project finished. I may just have to keep it so that I can do scrimmages If that is how it has to be then at least I learned how to fight other people and a group to do it with
Sliinty
yeah to be honest, as long as your ship has a docking port at the back, you can mount drop tanks, if you can mount drop tanks, you can go anywhere.
daemonCaptrix
daemonCaptrix is the owner of daeCorp Mining Technologies, and we are quite alarmed by your armada of NINE warships over the lightly-defended Laythe.
zekes
oh. my. god. what. have. i. built. This thing just shrugged off a 2.5 ton missile going 200 m/s. It's double armored (legitimately, the armor is 1.5m apart). And most important, it carries 16 Minimissiles and 2 shipkillers.Give me two of these and i could fight off a whole navy. I may just have to keep it so that I can do scrimmages If that is how it has to be then at least I learned how to fight other people and a group to do it withYou know, thinking about it, all this thread needs is fights, if you want to claim a body, imho, you should do it legit. But otherwise, if all you want is a scrap, then anything goes. As long a both parties are happy beforehand then who cares?Having said that, I also feel the thread suffers from a lack of clear rule system; things such as when a ship is considered dead, when and how much you can resupply, time warp use, phases of play vs shipclass and ship classification itself all need to be readdressed (the list goes on...). Due to these problems my current fight with Zekes has been less enjoyable (for both of us, I'm sure) that it should have been. I think we need to create a flexible rule system that allows different classes of ships and design philosophies to shine in different situations. We should also develop rules that allow for the limitations that a turn bases system impose. For example, in a real space battle TWR (and delta V eventually) would be the deciding factor in range control but this is not currently a factor at all. daemonCaptrix
Since Laythe is my last and only outpost, and since it's nearly as big as Kerbin, I suggest Tengu and I share half the surface. He can fight for the other half if he wants to.We'll just say we're at a fragile armistice for now if that's okay.

War Eagle 1
I like Mr Tegu's idea. Every company can battle whatever, whenever, wherever, but in order to clam a planet, you must prove that the ships you'll be using can make it there. Kinda like having a free match and a battle campaign option

That way if you don't win territory, you still win bragging rights.

War Eagle 1
to make my suggestion more clear (just for additional thought.)in system conquest (as I call it.) the challenger must provide pics from kerbin (or a owned planet). However they only have to do it with one ship per class (example If i have two salvation classes I just have to show one making it to said planet). The Defendant however doesn't have to because its their planet. So the defendant doesn't have to get ships there legitimately. Follow all established rules afterAlso each battle in system conquest must take place at said planet (no battle for laythe should take place at Duna)Free battlefollow all rules of system conquest except the getting there part Edited September 7, 2013 by War Eagle
Captain Sierra
Considering joining, but I don't do enough military work to be effective. I also tend to not do stock only work (I have kethane bases and extraplanetary launch pad facilities that I use for this stuff XD).
War Eagle 1
just make another game for stock only. I like mods too but sometimes its fun just to use stock partsalso just take time to build your military. Download others ships to see how other people design ships. Sorta like reverse engineering. Captain Sierra
I sorta know how, it's just low on my priorities list. And there is no such thing as a stock install with me. I have too many add-ons that add no parts that I really can't live without (editor extensions, lazor docking cam, etc.). I'll certainly work on it a bit but I really have other stuff I got going on right now like mod team and some lifter series releases.
