I like the cruiser all those I-beams must kill FPS.You colour parts with a mod from Texel called Kerb-paint.

it does, however i'm not sure whether to choose over the beams, with potentially beter armour and easy placement or the plates that are annoying as f@ck to align

@ panfish, how many fighters? and what do you consider the part/tonnage limit for a fighter?

@Spearka, you're gonna need to spread them out a little, Kerbal cant cope with that many parts so close together once stuff starts exploding, plus you're rather vulnerable to collateral damage with ships like that.

Edit: You're batteries are also going flat...

Probably 4 fighters and I don't care about the tonnage but I would like a part limit of 300 for each ship.I think the tonnage limit for a fighter is about 25 tonnes. Maybe the fight could be around Pol?

after much toiling about and patiently waiting over the immense lag, I have made tweaks and positioned two Griselbrand cruiser and a Brand new Thraben-Class cruiser (yes, that happened too)

Thraben-Class Cruiser

the biggest federation vehicle currently and is designed as a multipurpose cruiser, it can dispatch fighters easily with its arsenal of six AFS-2 pods, can engage cruisers at long range with its two Bol-class missiles mounted on either side and at close range with its Damnation-class missiles, it is also equipped with a new, as of yet untested form of armour

Griselbrand-class Corvette

Originally designed for the Spiritwolf/Hanland conflict (wink wink) the Griselbrand-class cruiser is a anti-fighter cruiser with Bol-class missiles equipped, the recently upgraded version includes enhanced armour and 6 AFS-2 pods as opposed to its original four

P.S.i seem to have noticed most of you have somehow managed to color your aero parts, i hate to sound like a noob but how did you do that?

My fighter that I will be using is 24 tons. Not sure what is adding the extra weight and the part count is like 117 if I recall correctly. Feel free to add more fuel or armour and I think a good battle spot would be low mun orbit.

Never mind. This game looks an awful lot like Nation States crossed with HOMEWORK. :P

@ everyone: would someone else like to fight Spearka once he sorts his persist file out? Seems a bit rude hogging all fights.

Also, I have a prototype of the new Dominator class in LKO, the challenge is to kill it in least amount of shots (no 2.5m torps!):

maybe a bit too many, using the I-beams nearly doubled the part count for the Griselbrand corvette, i think I might stick back to the panels and start over, i may also throw in a few drones

I'll take that as a yes.It wouldn't have worked as both ships were landed.

Of course the TWR is so frickin low,I had to hold shift constantly.

Picked up some weapons/boost system from London(Damn attachment issues).I hoped to orbit low enough to not need to land turns out was 800m too high.

I abandoned the Bottom booster as it became more of a hindrance.

The middle boost did some damage destroying the rear tank severing VTOL engines and half of the main engines.

First shot.Had no effect ie:missed

Second shot.Broke off decrotive armor at front.

Third shot.Tore off some of the armor covering the right nacelle.

Forth shot.Destroyed the right nacelle.

Returning to orbit was tough and terrifying.
