What he said. It's just how the server updates things. If you want internet related things to boggle your mind, Google the server room itself, that is insane.

The really crazy server rooms are off net, communication is only through hand carried removable drives. A pain to upgrade since if anything goes wrong you have to leave, get the files you need and have them cleared before you can take them in just to get back to work.
