How to install mods?

I did a clean install and just want to install mechjeb. It's been a while since I played and I'm not sure where to put the mechjeb folder, which contains a "parts" and "plugins" folder. Do I put the whole thing in GameData? I know it's really easy, I just can't remember though. Also, where's the "How To" section of the forums? Did they remove things or am I blind? (I can't find the development forum with the dev blogs either, been gone for a while???)

Simple Cut/Copy and paste the folder named "Mechjeb2" into the gamedata folder in the KSP_WIN folder. You should have two folders present in Gamedata: Squad and Mechjeb2. Welcome to the club
