[Stock station section] Habitat ring.

I am trying to design the habitat ring for my station, Its long and has tons of docks for things like the fuel modules ect. in the centre i want a habitat ring. I have used some methods to make a good looking one but i cant seem to launch them, To get one that is decent round means its also wide and struggles to lift.

Any tips for lifting a large ring into space? the centre keeps pushing up and snapping so im thinking maybe turn the ring sideways and launch it or maybe use a radial launcher instead of central.

Any tips would be welcome.

It is an expert level kind of thing to lift a huge unwieldy object into space.

Not something that can really be explained on the forum, I would suggest cruising the youtube channels.

I saw a space station that has a large cylindrical dock component similar to what I think you're describing, called the OASIS station.

Try looking at how this user launched and assembled the space-dock portion. Sorry if I'm getting the wrong idea of what it is you're building.

^He's trying to build a 2001 type station with a ring for artificial gravity. So, no, OASIS is not similar.

Strut the hell out of it. Top and bottom. That's how I got my absurdly large munar rover to launch without snapping in two.

Perhaps try launching it in parts instead of all at once? Make several pie-shaped "spokes" and dock them to a central hub once they're up there.
