Looks great, very detailed, and in places quite creepy :P

Pointers - on the right hand image, his boots look more like converse trainers than Moon Boots, which tend to have a sharp edge between the curved top and the flat bottom. Like so:

The boots in KSP are doubtless loosely based off the boots work by the Apollo astronauts, so you could use those as a sort of reference.

I love the inner helmet detailing, that looks very nice. If you wanted, you could take a few liberties, and add a boom mic in there somewhere, and stitching-seams around the gloves and uniform. (after you've added all the harness straps and tube-coupler nozzle things that they have there).

This looks very promising, you obviously are very skilled in 3d modelling.

Thanks for the advice Vostok, I've re-worked the boots to look like this now.

I've also worked on the RCS pack, it still need the control handles yet

RCS_Module.jpg

it also has straps, though I'm not sure about them

Hoy, I plan to model and texture it, to then rig it so I can animate it, to then make my fortune on YouTube, well that's the dream but you can find more info on the blog http://kspwip.blogspot.co.uk/

Also a little bonus, I found I can put stuff on sketchfab :D

I'm not sure how i would go about doing animations for in game quest, but it sound awesome so any info you could give me on that would be great thanks

And Panichio as for animation ideas, I was gonna do walk cycle and stuff just for testing, but I plan to do some stories, depends how much time I have left before I go back to uni, one idea I had was that my kerbal could look up to Jeb as some hero, maybe have a poster like this on his wall

Jeb_Posing_001.jpg

then he would have a go at building rockets in his garden out of household items, but I would love some more story ideas if people have them

We have programmers that can animate him if he was on our team hehe. Are you adding a skeleton and moveable mouth?

Were not doing it for YouTube it's a new mod, tho some parts will be showcased on YouTube before releases. (Like SQUAD does it)

Thats cool, yh I'm gonna give him a skeleton, moving mouth and eyes, and maybe have a mutant kerbal with eyelids:0.0:

I've also created the hose and nozzle, but i'm not quite sure why it's there and no other spacesuits i've looked at seem to have them,

I would like to make a youtube series, but i'll doubt if i'll have time before going back to uni, hopefully I'll get some animation tests out and may one or two shorts. After doing retopologizing and uv mapping to my model for the last do days so it will function better, i have now started on the final detail pass, heres a preview.

But i'm going on holiday in a couple of days so all work will stop :(, please keep posting any ideas and stuff so I can do them all when I get back.

That guy is incredibly detailed. He looks reptilian, and until now I didn't even think of considering kerbals reptiles!!

one of our designers is making a low poly model for us, for use in game rather than YouTube

I hadn't considered them being reptilian, I just used a default sort of texture to try and get skin pores, but thats a cool idea. And that modelling is very nice, and a lot quicker than I did it. :L I'm off on holiday for the next week, so I did some quick texture tests, just to make the kerbal look pretty. :D
