Build a Mars coloney.

It is 2015 and nasa has sent the first test launch and lunar flyby of the SLS and Orion spacecraft.

Your goal is to build a coloney on mars and/or claim lad for a country by 2050.

Rules

1:You can design your own rockets but you they have to use past to present day technology (no SSTOs, SABERS, or technology like that{if you dont know if it is exeptable ask on the forum and ill do reaserch to see if it is ok}) ( have to give description of rocket stages too)

2:You can only launch SLS scale launch vehicles every 50 days, But smaller rockets like Soyuz can be launched every 10 days.

3:You can use NERVAs/Nuclear pulse rockets but they canot be used in the atmospher because of the UNs Nuclear laws. (However the UN has given you permission to test NERVAs in a UN aproved testing bunker)

4:you can make your own engins but you have to make them reasonable.

I:The base must be self sustaining (canot realy on resorses sent every week because they have to wait 6 months to get the suplies)

II:The base must have a safe place in case of disaster. (Have to be able to wait 6 months for rescue)

III:Your coloney(s) must be able to suport at least 100 people on mars (yes you can have more than one base and destribute the 100 people between the bases)

Phase one:

My space agency, Titan space agency, Takes the sls desighn and improves it by taking the second stages 3 J2-Xs and replaces them with 4 NERVAs. This makes the stage smaller,lighter,more eficient, and thus has tons more deltaV than the origonal. We also build a working nuclear pulse rocket engin and putt it in rbit.
