Adjustable ladders length.

I am planning to send my SSTO VTVL to Laythe but... oh no! The ladder is too short

Please devs, make ladders adjustable.

PS I know I can use multiple ladders to create something that looks like a snake on my craft.

PPS I am not fan of using part mods.

Not going to work if you put the long ladder on a strut, with the non-extending one linking the ladder to the cockpit?

Biggest issue I have with the ladders is they are too short to extend past a nuclear rocket.

It's not a definitive solution, but B9 has long ladders.

I wonder if you could get away with changing that ladder to a yellow one, placing a girder or a bunch of cube trusses on that jet fuel tank, placing another yellow ladder, then putting more cubes/another girder down low, and adding a big ladder there.

But then, maybe that's what you mean by a snake. I quite like making complex ladders, it's not easy but there's a payoff when it works.

I use the fixed rungs (set of 3 per part) down the side(s) of my craft, only putting the extendable ladders at the same level as the landing leg mounts. Then the only time I run into problems is with the bigger Rockomax engines... but using Skippers or Mainsails on a lander is serious overkill, isn't it? *shifty gaze*

(I sidestep the LV-N "ladders too short" issue the same way I sidestep the "LV-N busts on release of the stack separator shourds" issue; I side-mount them on landers.)
