GILLY ORBITAL RESEARCH

TO PLACE A STATION AROUND EVE'S ONLY MOON

Part 1: Recon Probes

To monitor the progress of this project, 3 probes will be sent to their respective locations.

They are launched on their own Honesty I launchers. The rocket has quite the capabilities for being so compact.

Here is the first probe in Kerbol orbit.

After 2 more launches, all three probes are in Kerbol orbit, all are in a mostly circular orbit, and each one has its own period it monitors. The closest one to Kerbin functions as the final relay, the second closest functions as the first relay that picks up the signal from the one closest to Eve, which relays signals it gathers from the station.

I don't see how Gilly's SoI would be large enough for a full-blown station.

It is not, that's the goal, to eliminate that thought about the cute little moon. It's my favorite moon/object in the game

It'll be about 10 modules, maybe more. I'll launch them to Gilly one-by-one, as one huge station will be too hard to maneuver so precisely to get to Gilly.
