SAS Comparison

For those in the know:

Does the 0.21.1 SAS act/feel like MechJeb's KillRot function, only better?

MechJeb just saved my space program; Smart A.S.S. owns.

Yes they are similar. KillRot does not hold an attitude, but is more assertive so still holds an attitude pretty well. Especially compared to 0.21.1 SAS which sloppily and vaguely holds an attitude. They both do not fight control input.

SmartASS is a great feature. That, along with the information readouts and predictive aerobraking I expect to be in the stock game in some form some time. With SmartASS possibly being done as Kerbonaught training.

I was specifically wondering about the 0.21.1 SAS. That's an interesting comparison you make because, apparently, the 0.21.1 SAS is supposed to hold a heading once it engages locking mode. MechJeb's KillRot handles my off-balance craft just fine, the 0.21.1 SAS does not (or it does, but not for me, my install/computer seems bugged).
