impact tolerance

Recommended Posts

So if you get the largest wheels, they say they have a impact tolerance of 150.

Now I've gathered from other threads and google that impact tolerance =/= meters per second

So a landing strut with a impact tolerance of 12 can hit the ground going 12m/s..

Does this translate for the peices its attached to? So say I have 4 of the big wheels with impact tolerance of 150, but they are held together by a plate that has a impact tolerance of 40 will my ship break apart at 50 m/s when I hit the ground?

Or do the wheels "absorb" the impact? because they have a higher impact tolerance.

Thanks!
