Parts stuck in parts

Is there a quick and easy way to undo things like this? I tried ctrl-z and it's not working. I'm particularly [blank] because even though it's a simple construction that would be easy to re-create, the docking ports and the tanks are neatly aligned. I basically used the same part earlier on a spacecraft that's already in orbit. I want to dock more of these modules to the ship, but if rebuild it and the docks are slightly off the spacecraft could become unsymmetrical.

I'm trying to just yank it out but I can't click it.

[stupid RCS tank is stupid.]

I used vulgar terms, apparently.

There's a mod called Subassembly Manager that might be of interest to you. It's designed so you can store sub-parts of ships that can be loaded up and attached later as you see fit. Unfortunately, it looks like it hasn't been updated for 0.21 yet, so you may want to look into what (if any) issues it has with 0.21 at the moment.

At least for me, there are no issues with Subassembly Manager in 0.21, so go ahead and get it. :)

@ SkyRender

Thanks, I'll try it.

Setting up a x8 asparagus staging is fun the first couple of time, but after a while it starts to get old... It would be really nice to be able to just load the pre-fabricated part.
