Dunar Rover (need some advice)

I tried for my first encounter with the new ship.......and getting that encounter properly is tough! I have exit angles down and the approach, but I'm always coming in too far away to get a real encounter in which the apoapsis can actually help me. Also the mid stage of my ship is not very good, burns fuel very fast. Therefore I using the same concept in the ship, but changing some engines. Pics and .craft files coming soon!

Ok, here are the .craft files for all 3 stages. I did some modifying on each stage. (more fuel and some more power for each) Also in my attempts to redesign my 'part-clipped' rocket, I accidentally made a new design (without 'cheating') made a new design for a heavy cargo ship (for Kerbin exits) called the Goliath! It is literally the safest and steadiest ship I have made. Here is a pic of it!

Oh wow, that's nice lookin'. Very slick, I like how you've got a couple drop tanks w/engines on them to drop the weight as you go up.

Here it is! The final product! The 'Goliath ITE MK-3' (base and mid stage) and the 'Zhuk DRV MK-3' dock together and ready for their maiden voyage!

Some design changes...

-added 5th engine to base

-much more RCS fuel

-gave mid stage 4 LV-Ns instead of LV-909s and more fuel

-replaced the 2x2 heat shield panels with wing connectors (more surface area, so no gaps. Much lighter!) ps, also makes a neat blossom design on the bottom

-replaced lander gear with long I-beams

Now for my new landing projects and deep space travel platforms!

Haven't named this bad-boy yet. The 2 rover pieces undock and connect together to form a rover. The 4 lv-909s on top detach after being spent.

And now! For my deep space node. The 'Bruiser GISN' !!!!

It's meant to be compatible with my Goliath engines.

Mission Success! Hit a few snags on the way, but they were handled.

First snag. My mid-stage exploded, due to the fairings. Lesson learned. So I decided to just remove the engines from that stage and use it as a secondary gas tank.

No problems with the lander. However, the rover doesn't drive straight
