So where's this debris setting in the .cfg?

I've been trying to get some extra performance out of KSP on my laptop and I can't find the setting in there for the life of me! I changed the ocean settings on the planets and scoured my way through the file a whole bunch of times but I can't find any setting relating to the debris at all. I've tried searching the forums too and despite finding a number of pointers I still couldn't find the exact location or name of the setting I'm looking for.

Is it in the first section along with resolution and AA etc or is it beyond the enormous controls section? Also if anyone knows the specific name for it would be handy too.

You can change the max debris in the in game settings menu. If you insist on editing the .cfg directly the setting for it is MAX_VESSELS_BUDGET

You can set the Max debris in the settings menu in the game. No need to tinker with the cfg file.
