Custom Sounds?

I'd like to have a custom sound for a Part I am making, but I can't get it to work. I have everything set correctly, the name matches what the part.cfg calls for. I've tried having the sound a .wav file and a .mp3 file. Neither work.

I assumed it must be the game not currently handling extra sounds, so I used a normal one and switched the sounds by renaming them. It still didn't work. What's the problem?

after several tries

i renamed a sound file then re-targeted the .cgf to it and it worked fine

but i have done that same process several times before to no prevail

i also cant seem to add any sounds of my own no matter what

am i just missing something?

i really want to use my acapella sound fx
