ConsteLaythion Program: Manned Laythe Landing and back!

Soo... I think KSP has no aim. You make your aim yourself and then you try to do this. The first aim of evry player is the Low Kerbin Orbit of course. And manned. That's not this difficult. The next aim is usually Mün or Minmus. Also manned. and this IS a aim because this is the greatest thing the real astronautics hve made jet. But the most players reach Mün and Minmus without so much Problems. Many People, when they managed this, are trying to get more Style in their rockets. When Style is normal for people, they make themself higher aims. Like a manned Landing on Duna. Maybe with only one Rocket. Maybe also Eve. Or Moho. Or taking a Rover the Eeloo or something like that. Until people recognize that you can't do evrything with just one rocket. So they take two rockets and try docking in Low Kerbin Orbit. Or even more. So there aren't many guys who made it to Duna and back with one rocket. I for myself made it with two. Because Iwanted to get there. Duna that is an aim. Like Mars for the NASA. And afterwards you can say: "My Kerbals where on Duna." And you are proud. Proud that you managed a big aim of KSP. I admire the people who landed on Eve. Eve is heavier than Duna. But when you were there, you wouldn't say that. You would just say: "It's Eve. And Eve is just a big aim in KSP." And you would be right. This is Eve. Not more. But I think there is one aim in KSP. A aim for Kerbal. A aim to Stay. A aim to live with water and air. It's Laythe.

Kerbal Laythe Program

And so I made it. That was my aim. Laythe was my aim. Of course you can't fly to Laythe, Land there and fly home with just one Rocket because already the Lander is such heavy. And so I took more Rockets. Not tho. Not three. Seven. Yes, I took seven Rockets to get to Laythe. But with Style. With so much Style. But you need Style. You need Style because KSP is a game and without Style there is no fun. And a game needs fun. So I hat to think over wich Parts of the space craft I want to get in orbit seperately. In the end there were two spacecrafts in LKO.

1. The crew Spacecraft

It' builded out of three parts + the crew vehicle wich takes the crew to the spaceship but isn't transfered to Laythe.

Then you launch seperately two transfer stages with each a Rockomax 32 Fuel tank and three nuclear engines. The first is for transferring to Jool, the second for making a Laythe orbit and flying home.

Then you launch the Crew on Kerbal Launch System Block 0 (Download)

Then you dock all these things together in orbit, transfer the creew in th crew transfer vehicle, decouple the Crew Launch Vehicle and execute the transfer burn to Jool.

Aerobreaking above Jool (119 km) and Laythe (18 km) for saving fuel:

The Laythe Lander

First of all, Launch the Lander :D in LKO with Titan X Rocket (Download)

Then you need again two transfer Stages although the Lander doesn't come back, but it's just so heavy ...

Dock these three parts together in LKO and execute a transfer burn again.

Then Dock the Lander at the Crew Transfer Vehicle in Low Laythe Orbit, transfer two of the crew in the Lander and land!

Then execute a as perfect as possible ascent (because you haven't got much fuel), dock at the crew vehicle again and fly back to kerbin with it.

There you dock at the Kerbal Launch System Block 0 Crew Launcher again and Land with it!
