Newcomer here. Is it possible to walk around inside you space station as a kerbal?

no, but comming eventually. planed feature

You can IVA in most crew-able parts, but it's just seated positions for now.

Eventually, you're going to be able to like take your helmet off and go between parts using hatches and stuff, but that's probably a ways off yet.

For the moment no, but you can similaute that by using the crew manifest mod. It allows you to move kerbals around a ship, so for example from a mk1-2 pod to a crew-tank, or between docked ships- it makes space stations so much easier to manage.
