How do you pronounce 'Mun'

This has been discussed before. Anyway, since it has an umalut (Mün, 2 dots above, as per the wiki says), then it should be pronounced as "Myoon" if I recall correctly what they've said before here. But for practicality's sake, I'm always pronouncing it as "Moon".

...Laythe. One syllable.

I do actually pronounce it as "Ley-teh", in accordance to my vernacular. I was actually surprised by the way Scott Manley said it when I've first heard it from him :D

the wiki is fanmade. it is incorrect a good deal of the time. if you look ingame, it no longer has the umlaut.

I just call it Moon.

I've always wondered if in the kerbal universe the word Mun = Moon. Are all Moon's Muns? Or is Mun just the name of Kerbin's Moon.

Ive always seen people say, "I landed on the Mun". Should they say "I landed on Mun" or "I landed on the Moon"? (relative to kerbin)

Cause say your are at Duna. You wouldnt say "I landed on the Ike". You would say "I landed on Ike" or "I landed on Duna's Moon (Mun?)."

Is Ike Duna's Moon, or Mun?

It has an Umlaut on the crashed Mün lander on the title screen. I don't think the game itself supports alt characters anymore (if it ever did).

My first introduction to the Mün is on the title screen, so to me it has an umlaut. So I pronounce it Mewwn, which sounds very close to Moon.

In 1969, humans landed on the Moon. Someday, they may land on Mars. Not "the Mars". Get it now?

The part that gets me, does it actually officially have the Umlaut or not? It only seems to pop up once in awhile, and much of the time (including in game), it doesn't have it. So I usually just rhyme it with 'Sun', in part because it sounds sillier, but mostly because, well, that's what it looks like in the vast majority of sources.

But I do the 'Munar' thing too, rhyming it with 'Lunar' because, well...

So I'm inconsistent!
