Subassemblies in .22?

Okay, so I was watching
video by Scott Manley, and he mentioned that subassembly functionality will be added in .22

Can anyone confirm this/find the source where it was said?

Here you go:

He had the spaceport search names down in the description. I'm glad he showcased these, because I've been looking for working versions for a long time!

Sorry if I missed something, but the OP was asking for proof if that mod was going to be in the next update.

I watched the vid earlier today, if I recall, I believe he said he Hopes for Stock Subassemblys.

EDIT: I just rewatched the Video and Scott said that, MaxMaps had told him that there would be a Squad Subassembly in stock .22

To MaxMaps or any Moderator who reads this, "I am not myself making a claim of a future feature, I am simply paraphrasing Scott Manley in Indirect Speech of Scott Manley's words. I also do not want to offend Scott Manley by this as I truly enjoy his videos very much."

I'll try to transcribe what he actually said.

A word of warning is that this is, um, ...probably gonna be made redundant in the next version, supposedly, because one hint that was (led? layed?) out by Maxmaps was that .22 will contain an official Squad version of the Subassembly Saver and Loader, so - you might want to wait until then, or you might want to just build all your stuff now and find out that it's incompatible later..

So he sounds fairly certain based on what he knows.

For those of us (me) who just started the game, whats a sub assembly?

Right now in the game, you can't save a part of your spacecraft to reuse on other spacecraft. For instance, you can't build a probe, and then load that probe for attaching to different launch vehicles.

Check out this video from Scott Manley for an excellent mod though that allows you to do things like that (skip to 7 minutes, 55 seconds if it doesn't start out there).

Nothing is officially in until you see 0.22.0 released.

I think and hope most people understand this... I think right now we are looking for what is officially planned to be in .22. What actually ends up in .22 is of course not solid until .22 releases...

Subassembly Loader is the one mod I update on my own every time KSP is updated because... well because I HATE REINVENTING THE WHEEL. If you find a subassembly that works it's daft to keep rebuilding it from scratch. If it makes it into the stock build I will be a very happy Kerbonaut.

I also move the jigsaw to the lower left corner of the VAB so I don't accidentally drop parts onto the save button by mistake (which deletes the part you were trying to save... bug there for sure).

Not sure what you're updating in that case - the renewed Subassembly Saver&Loader plugin doesn't have the jigsaw button.

If this actually happens I really hope they fix they way struts are saved. I tried different versions of sub assembly loader but for some reason it never correctely loads struts that connect to other parts that have some open space in between. For example tying down asparagus stages with horizontal struts, when I load that from sub-assembly it only loads the struts that are connecting pieces vertically. :(
