Omni-bug and Omni-box VTOL cars

The Omni-bug

Inspired by HOCgaming's charity drive to the north pole of Kerbin I designed my own VTOL assisted buggy to ferry kerbals around.

I designed it to be more compact and have a smaller part count than Harv's H2O 2 GO. By pure chance it has a TWR of 0.99, so can take off almost instantly.

I also wanted it to have a command pod so that the kerb's can refuel their jet packs.

The fuel tanks and engines are alligned with the rest of the vehicles center of mass, so flight remains stable.

Comes with detachable 2 man pod for easy passenger loading.

Action groups:

1 - toggle ladders

2 - toggle VTOL engines

3 - toggle rear wheel steering

WARNING: VTOL engines are alligned for center of mass when no kerbals are in the back seats. Attempting to fly with passengers will probably kill the crew.

I could move the seats, but I like the way the craft looks, and protects the passengers in the event of a flip.

While flying, steer with pitch and yaw controls, if you drive in docking mode, be sure to change back before takeoff!

The wheels are pretty sturdy, and can take a landing at a few m/s.

Flight instructions are the same as the Omni-bug. It just comes with a small aesthetic shell.

To compensate for the lower TWR an extra engine has been added, but combined with the shell's mass, it does mean flight time is significantly reduced.

Let me know what you think! Enjoy!
