Is it possible to make things sink?

I know there was a submarine mod like 10 versions ago, but it's probably never going to work again

Is there some way to make things sink? Just increasing their mass does not seem to work for more than a meter or two.

You could use thrust.I've had weight adding mod parts sink, maybe that could be something to try. If it doesn't just fall apart.

There's a thread in the Mission Reports called "To the Bottom of the Ocean", in which a ship was made to sink due to some severe modding. The whole discussion is quite interesting.

But suffice to say that, without filling fuel tanks with neutronium, you can't make anything just sink. The only way I've found to submerge things is to put a Mainsail on top pushing down.

My experiences are that it takes a lot of downforce to submerge something.

So, I gather that Hooligan is working on something nice

but currently, you can use his balloons with negative boyant force parameters to pull things under the ocean, without making them weigh a ton per liter. Thats a huge help if you plan on taking it to laythe

One of my friends is rather fond of submarines, and I recall that after 0.21 he was saying something about it taking a lot less density than before...

Instead of modding our parts, there needs to be a mod that reduces the upforce of oceans.
