Anyone here got a AAA card? (Need Wheel Help)

So I got two wheels. One for the front of a vehicle, one for the rear. Its your standard fixed axis drive wheels for the rear and steerable wheels for the front of the vehicle.

They rotate on one side normally, rotate at an incredible speed on the mirror side, cause the vehicle to bounce around, sometimes violently, but they lack a key side effect, which is production of the element of "Go".

Here's the ksp files and the unity assets...I'm sure I'm missing something simple.

If you can fix them, just tell me how do, and I shall do the do that do do.

Heh, guess my lil secret is outed...anyway, I got some of this thing to work. The Wheels don't work at all, the wings produce thrust, but not lift, and the hyperjets create thrust, and are animated to retract and be replaced by the hatch, but no booster effects.

You need to add control surfaces to the wings, but one problem you will find and one that I found is its a silly movie prop.. it wasnt meant to fly lol, so when you do get it up in the air, inherently the nose will always dive down, so what you need to do is add a small vector to the rear engines to combat that, not much just a couple of degrees.

I went full out and did an IVA the kerbals can sit in etc, there is a personal list of 5 mods I always wanted to make and that was one of them, but like the Delorean, it must be done with some serious authenticity, I have fond memories of those movies and would not want to bring out a half assed job :)

Heh, I had no idea about the control surfaces, I thought raw values in the cfg would handle it by itself...in fact this was my first attempt at creating a mod for this game (Or any game). I did learn alot though in trying this out (about 3DS Max, Unity, and how to royally bork a cfg), and I'm glad to see someone more capable is on the case.

EDIT: Seriously, I'd like to get back into actually playing this than obsessing over trying to fix the mod. I've done nothing but this for over a week...losing around 4 nights of sleep. LOL

haha yeah modding will do that to ya, sleepless nights trolling forums looking for clues how to make things, lol we all have been there. Imagine how much more frustrating it would be if you were making ultra realistic stuff.. at least you have the benefit of science fiction to overlook anything you can't accomplish with normal physics, thats why I stuck to sci-fi, it has alot less rules to adhere to,

and I was never good with rules :sticktongue:

If you need help getting wings to float like wings or such just shoot me a pm
