How to calculate drag(gravity, air resistance) with delta v

Recommended Posts

I understand how to calculate delta v in a vacuum. But i would like to know the equation to calculate the effect of drag (ie gravity and air resistance) on delta v

My goal is to be able to calculate the delta V required to lift off Eve at different altitudes.

I cant find this online for some reason. Maybe i'm just not good at googling >_<

If anyone has this handy it would help me a lot!! Thanks!!

Thanks for the reply and im glad i know where to look. Though i dont see how i can factor that in with delta v. I cant calculate terminal velocity and air resistance but how to turn that into how much extra delta v i need?

I might just be a bit dull ;) but i was hopeing for somthing like

total deltav = deltav - air resistance * magic + gravity/magic

or something like that ;)
