In the meantime, I tried dissecting your craft, and realized you have the clamp o tron as the root item? How did you manage that? Is there a computer core hiding in there that I'm not finding?

Since .21 I think you have been able to start with most of the parts. I just do it because I use sub assembly manager, http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/subassembly-manager/ it makes things easier to work with when the pod isn't the 1st part.

I should put a probe body in there though, just so it could fly itself.

Not taking jet fuel is a penalty, until you refuel in orbit, then it's added efficiency. I mostly didn't take it to keep down size, the one thing I won't clip is fuel tanks. I really wish they would add some stock small jet fuel tanks. A small ssto only needs like 60 fuel before you hit the rockets, the mk-1 holds 150. That or oxidizer tanks...but they might add that, it's one of the few things in kspx that hasn't been made stock.
