Mun IV - Can it land?

The Mun IV.

After many “impact†designs, the Mun IV is, our scientists calculate, capable of a soft landing on the Mun and return. (I can’t land the module)

Designed extensively to arrive on the Mun with at least 2 full tanks, the Mun IV with good trajectory is capable of arriving with a little juice left in the Intermediate Stage.

I hope someone can give me pointers. :

Ok this is slightly cheating but I\'ve made it without the lander legs. =P Not sure if its a bug but I was really struggling to land. Switched from orbital to surface, and I was able to control my thrust more gently. Makes no sense to me. Previously I kept yo-yoing 2ft off the ground.
