It is a rocket that uses SRBs for landing gear, it\'s a rocket that breaks the sound barrier in the lowest atmospheric level; on the edge of what is possible and what is plain stupid. That is what a true Kerbalized rocket is.

Here\'s the epitome of all of my Kerbalized Rockets: The Energia

I\'ve created 2 versions of it. V1 has a 2m x 2m LFT, while V2 has 4 RCS tanks in place of LFT to feed the RCS modules (they play a vital role in this thing). I\'m not sure if it\'s smaller than the original, but I can readily make the 3m-2m version if there\'s a 2m decoupler flange .

A few tweaks more, then I\'ll be using it as my shuttle carrier for a short time. 8)

That really bugs me. You\'ve spoiled a perfectly good rocket with dozens of RCS things all over it... Is it really that hard to fly manually? It looks so ugly with those RCS jets...

My version of the SLS on the launchpad.

It uses IFE\'s SRB nosecones, SE\'s SRBs, fueltanks, overpowered engines, etc., a stock LFE, and the Mei Long Simple Capsule found in Slew\'s Down Under parts pack.

A launch gantry-it helps with the problem of larger rockets falling to pieces on the pad.

2 things about real Energia that allow this rocket to fly:

1) gimbal range = 11 degrees

2) central stage engines are not directly under center of the tank

So, if you make correct engines it would be much more flyable.

P.S. First launch of Energia. Gimbals activated with some delay (launch pad adapter didn\'t allow gimbaling on the pad). Nothing dangerous, but for the next launch the delay was set to minimal possible.

And I\'ve used standard (unmodified) gimbal ranges on the engines I\'ve used in the replica, which is probably the reason why it handled horribly

Gimbal range is the maximum angle the engine can gimbal. Too low and it wouldn\'t be effective enough. Too high and it can tear your rocket apart.

I thought, if no one else made one I\'d post it in all the variants I made, from air to surface attack to high altitude rocket boosted versions. (Saw one F104 with a booster used for experimental flights to >70,000ft - the Kerbalised one can reach orbit )

Any earth rockets, or unflown concepts - significance doesn\'t matter! As long as you won\'t use dedicated parts for it.

Alright then, I\'ll have a go at the Strela.

It was very hard to make this rocket for two reasons:

1: Well, the payload fairings are very unique and make the shape of the rocket but I couldn\'t find a part very similar.

2: This is the picture I had to work with:

The rocket I chose was the Strela. It had one test launch in the 70\'s and that was it.

I nicknamed it the bullet because of the payload fairings and because in the game; it shoots off like a bullet as well.
