Can We PLEASE Have An "Are You Sure" When Clicking "NEW" In The VAB/SPH?

Recommended Posts

Another rogue click when I was rotating my craft and POW!... all gone. An "Are You Sure You Want To DELETE THIS CRAFT And Begin Again" (or something shorter) would surely be a good idea.

I think the last time this was suggested was before the forum imploded and I can't find another thread regarding this (but as we all know, the search function isn't exactly the best).

Yeah, I put in Are You Sure to find a thread that wanted this and guess what I got...

The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search:

Are, you, sure

*THUD, THUD, THUD* <- me banging head on table.

I think the proper response from the search engine should be...

You included words in your search query and they were discarded because I don't understand wor... SQUIRRELS!

I'm all in favor of Skorpion or Kegereneku's suggestions. A save that I can revert to, whether I revert with ctrl-z or by manually reloading an autosave, would take less of my time than either having to rebuild ships after accidentally hitting new instead of save or having to confirm all the new clicks that aren't mistakes.

Yeah, an undo would be perfect... Like I said, I was was just panning around my craft by left clicking and dragging the view around... just checking to see if everything was done right and there were no extra repetitions of parts due to symmetry bugs... and unfortunately I clicked on the NEW box by mistake and whoops... all gone.

I've also dragged parts for Subassembly Loader onto the wrong box (yeah, partially colour blind here) and it the part I want to save gets deleted like I've dropped it in the bin. That's another thing I would like to see stop as well. Maybe have a dedicated bin area where parts you want to dispose of can go. Currently if you drop your part on the menu OR on the boxes at the top of the screen (bar the Subassembly Loader icon) and it's gone for good. Even Ctrl-Z doesn't undelete it if you drop it onto one of the menu items at the top of the screen. It's definitely a bug there.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
