I need help :(

I'm not sure if this thread belongs here, but I suppose it's somewhat related to KSP. I hope someone with more tech knowledge could help me out.

I've only relied on using IMGUR to upload images of my space flight adventures and my ships. I have a problem with it though, whenever I use IMGUR to upload certain images, it causes my PC to go into a hard crash. My mouse would not respond, all programs freeze and the only way out of it is an entire PC reset. The problem occurs regardless of what browser I use, Firefox, Chrome, even IE.

These images I try to upload are all KSP related screenshots. Some upload fine, but very often there is one image that repeatedly causes this problem, and thus can never be uploaded. The aspect ratio of my images are 1768x992 pixels.

I run a 64bit Windows 7 Ultimate, with 8 gigs of RAM. Processor is Intel Core i7-2600k @ 3.40GHz, and my graphics card is a GeForce GTX 580.

I'm hoping someone can help me with this because it's holding me back from sharing some very awesome missions and craft with the community

First, ensure all software is updated. Start with the BIOS and work your way up. All device drivers as well... video, audio, et cetera. Then update your antivirus and antimalware and do a full scan with both.

If you need one or both I would suggest www.avg.com and www.malwarebytes.com. There are perfectly functional free editions of both.

If all this fails, then it is most likely some sort of hardware failure.

For the problem:

Check your system as Whackjob said. also I am not sure if Imgur uploader is in flash, java or html. in the case of the forst 2, make sure you have up to date version.

if nothing works, have a look with them (http://imgur.com/help/).
