Il-2 Stuvmorvik Megathread!

I loved IL-2 but the multiplayer was always rocky at best. War Thunder is a free-to-play game with modern graphics and a Full Real Battle mode that could use some more players... in case you wanted a flight sim. Its not as realistic as IL-2 but does strive to be an accessible yet realistic simulator.

Ah... Il-2 1946 with the now discontinued Ultrapack 3. Stupid AI notwithstanding, a fun and good looking game. And so many planes to chose that you just can't master all of them. Although for one reason or another I never finished a campaing, I hope to finish the one I started this weekend... but Rise Of Flight is getting in the way

Have anybody tried the 1916 mod? I never liked mods, but maybe that one worth the effort.

AI is better in the new 4.12 patch, amazingly they no longer fly into hills. Also the new effects are Brilliant!

Ugh, AI talk made me rememeber the sniper tailgunners...

I loved the jets, and the absurd care you had to take with them. Doing pretty much anything resulted in a jet going catastrophically wrong

yeah, those snipers... and whenever you throttled up in an ME 262 it caught on fire
