Silisko Pack - No SAS Allowed?

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

Just made my first venture into MODS with this game and liked the look of the Silisko pack.

I have just made my first orbit and re-entry however on the way up there i am having to everything manually as turning SAS on just turns my rockets into a Wobble-fest. I have tried running struts down them but the game seems to ignore them and the rocket keep wobbling. I am using Advanced SAS modules and gimbaling engines as far as i am aware.

Am i doing something wrong, should i be using Silisko in conjunction with another set of MODS?

Some advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Are you using SIDR or the Silisko Edition? I didn\'t know the difference at first, but SIDR is made to augment the basic parts, whereas Silisko Edition is meant to replace the vanilla parts.

I use Silisko Edition 0.9 and ASAS works fine.

Blame the gimbals.

That\'s why I either tend to turn them off, minimize at least, or avoid overgimballed engines :)

Truth. Many a rocket has been brought to its firery knees due to the gimballing engines going ape**** when the asas is turned on.

So I tend not to use asas until im landing on the mun.

Got my ASAS turned on most of the time :)

Just tweak the thrust vectoring in .cfg files (TV ONLY, not other stuff), particularly in large, first stage engines and it would be all fine 8)

I use mine all the time without tweaking any configs at all. It jitters a little, but doesn\'t go out of control or shake apart unless I build a stupid uncontrollable rocket anyway. Of course, I leave RCS turned off until I get out of atmo (it\'s nearly useless in air anyway) and I have non-gimballing first-stage engines. Just use fins for control surface work.
