[Unity] Err, What? Material Issues

The box for a normals map only shows up in Unity for me if i have one of the bump texture options selected. Kinda curious why you dont apply texture to material as your UV mapping then import into Blender already all done. That's how I been doing it so far, seems to work fine.

Do you have a normal map for it? Should be the next empty box under the _MainTex, not sure if that is the cause of your problem.

It doesn't need a normal if it's only set to Diffuse. If he set it to DiffuseNormal then he would need one.

The models in my Unity scene are very dark, but that's because I have a light in the scene for an animation in one of the parts. Could it be because of the camera?

Try exporting it and see what happens.
