Hello All!

Last night I downloaded the Demo for KSP and have been hooked every since. Bought the full version after less than 24 hours playing in the demo. I figured I'd drop in and say hello while I wait for the game to unzip. Here's hoping I can achieve orbit for Kerbin before too much longer. I've been browsing the tips section already and know I'll be having tons of fun!

First thanks for the welcome!! I've had tons of fun flying (and crashing) several rockets. When I made my first orbit I was ecstatic.

Second, A quick question. Fuel flows from a tank in to an engine right... Does fuel flow between two tanks stacked one on top of another or do I need to use fuel pipes?

Fuel automatically cross feeds between tanks starting from the top down. Also, be aware that RCS monoprop will cross feed across stack couplers and drain from the top tank as well. To save its fuel for your probe or command module stage for later in your flight, you can disable the tank with a right click and click on the fuel option until you need it. That way, the thrusters will use fuel from the lower tank. Fuel lines are only needed when you want to connect tanks or engines across stack couplers for specific needs such as asparagus or onion staging and for drop tanks.

Have fun with your flights! :)

If you want a tip, it's good to use a mod like Kerbal Engineer Redux as it can calculate the ÃŽâ€v (Delta-V, meaning how much the vessel can accelerate) of each stage, and can show it in-flight. If you add too much fuel, it will actually reduce the ÃŽâ€v of that ship, so I like to check it. :D

Thanks for the tip Naten. I am going through the KSP campaigns and am at the point where it wants me to do geostationary orbits and a quick google search point me toward Kerbal engineer and MechJeb. MechJeb seems a little overkill for me at this point.
