Where's Wal...err...Dansby?

One of my crew is missing. While I'm tempted to take the rover and check out the local bars, it's strapped to my heavy lifter and hopefully on its way to the mun. But not without Dansby, who was my first Kerbal to stand on the mun. Thing is, the astronaut centre says he's in the ship's command pod, but I've checked many times, and he's not. The last mission he ran has a flag on the moon that shows as a current mission, plus some debris from the launch. Does that have anything to do with it? Either way, he's not where I'm told he is.

Do you know what command pod he's supposed to be in? If so, right click the hatch on the pod and click "eva". Sometimes the crew portraits just don't show up until you eva them.

Also, what kind of reward?

P.S. If all else fails, you can go into the persistence file and change his state to "0." Note that, if he really IS out there somewhere, then this will just make a clone of the original.

Thanks RP, that did the trick. The EVA thing. I kicked Bill out of the cockpit, rolled it out to the pad empty, clicked on the capsule and clicked 'command from here' or whatever it says, then went back to the VAB and he was suddenly back from his coffee break. That slacker's off to Mun now, on a ship held together with duct tape and bailing twine...
