My spacestation spontaneously exploded...

This morning I was continuing with building my space station around kerbin by putting fuel tanks on it. After I did that I started to fill it with fuel so I may one day manage to send a ship to Duna but when I was bringing in my 3rd load of fuel the game froze and there was a flash and it had disintegrated. I could see it by that time and it wasn't moving as far as I could see.

By that time each time I got near it I was getting about 5fps so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

With the bugs, KSP needs a better save system. What I do is manually back up my persistent.sfs file under a new different name frequently. Do this at least every other day, IMO. At some point, you'll be very happy you did.
