Plane Help KRAKEN!

Recommended Posts

So I built a cargo jet. A rather unique and nice looking one. So I went for like the 6th test and I got some phantom shove off the back of the runway. I went again and took off. 1 minute, 41 seconds in, I am attacked by the kraken, killing Jeb and obliterating the plane. Can anyone tell me what the h3ll just happened?

EDIT: I'm only climbing at about 15-20* and this time it hit me at 30 seconds in. There are some wierd forces acting on this plane. I may have to try it with FAR and see if that helps (If FAR doesn't destroy it).

EDIT II: According to the log, pretty much every joint in the craft instantly breaks at 30 seconds. I was able to spam the screenshot key and capture the event.

Looking at the first picture I guess the initial break starts between the cargo compartment and the part behind it. There is a narrow black line visible between them (between the wings) indicating those two parts are somehow twisting or wobbling.

Tie those two parts together with more struts and make sure the wings are also strutted to your fuselage. With some trial and error you should be able to strut the crap out of that thing and still be barely visible.

+1 on that one.

That black break-line is what caught my eye right away. Try struts on that badboy and you may be fine. And yes, a flight log would help a lot! :)

I will add a flight log pic. I doubt that is it because it all goes boon instantly and the log says pilot killed first, then cockpit crashes into plane, then pretty mcuh every joint breaks all at once within milliseconds of each other.

EDIT: another phenomenon is that once the kraken manifests itself, I cannot revert to runway. If I do, Kraken light attacks breaking the plane and shooting me off the back of the runway. I have also noticed a phantom rudder kick when I am beginning to roll under power. Once this happens, the kraken has found you. Does anyone want the .craft file?

EDIT" II: It's strutted up in a bunch of places but I'll make sure that gap is locked down. I also think there may be wierd physics at play because the center markers are right on top of each other and very far forward with the payload in the back.

EDIT III: Logs as requested.

try Struting the cockpit to the fuselage use hard points for anchoring Or is it your payload being to heavy and the phantom rudder kick is the SAS doing its a job is the payload anchored to the cargo deck Via docking port or decoupler i am not familiar with B9 aerospace

The payload is set as a docking port I believe (but the engines do not drain fuel from it so I dunno). What gets me is that I was told struts once before, strutted it to hell and back, and it still gets attacked. The payload weighs something like 15-20 tons. I have put bigger payloads in planes and not got this. The payload is also strutted down through Armageddon.
