Need help building a cargo plane

So I've been messing around for awhile trying to build a C-130ish cargo plane.. and I need to build a hallow fuselage.. So I decided to use "wing connectors" And I think i'm getting some really weird aerodynamics off of them.. but I'm not really sure.. Can I do this? is it stupid? will it work? which end on the connectors are lift? the smaller ends?

heres a pic of what I have so far (pretty damn crappy)

(don't laugh to hard)

Considering you are using stock, that's a great effort! I don't know what your opinion is on using mods but there are some great mods that come with hollow fuselages like B9 Aerospace which come with an opening and closing cargo bay door etc.. If you are intent on using stock, maybe try something with the square panels instead? I think they react a lot less to aerodynamics :) but that does look fantastic at the moment.

The cockpit is the funniest part. I demand video. Also, I hope you have lots of intakes, because that thing is going to use a lot of runway.

I second this demand, this thing looks amazing, I want to see it in the air!

It looks like you're using turbojets. I'd recommend the regular jets, since they have higher thrust at low speeds and higher ISP at low altitudes, unless you're really hoping to go up closer to 15km where you can use those turbojets effectively.

I've tried something like this in the past.

Judging by the amount of wing connectors you have there it will probably take off really quickly but I wouldn't be too surprised if when you turned the engines off the thing started to fly sideways.

I would probably replace the cargo bay floor wings with structural plates to reduce lift a bit although I can't really tell unless I know the take off speed.

The final thing I would recommend is moving the rear landing gear slightly forward to make take off a bit easier because on your craft they seem really far forward.
